Minor Dalit Girl Raped in Moga, Punjab

A minor Dalit girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in the
district following which a case has been registered against him and
his accomplice, police said here.
The victim, a class 10th student, hails from Aminwala village, was
allegedly kidnapped by Pawan Kumar (22) and his friend while she was
on her way to buy some essentials, police said.
The girl was forcibly picked up by the motorcycle-borne youths and
taken to the nearby fields where she was raped by Pawan, they said.
The relatives of the girl found her crying in the fields. However, the
accused managed to escape from the spot, police said.
A case under various sections of the IPC has been registered against
the accused by Dharamkot police.
